The data scientist will support faculty, residents and medical students in research analysis and development. The scientist will advise on project design, analysis of data and publication. Data Scientist will support the capture, collection, exploratory data analysis, and transformation of complex data sets and incorporate them into statistical, data mining, text mining, machine learning, simulation, geographic information systems and other tools for insight and visualization. A strong background with statistics and quantitative data analysis is required to assist with the analytic aspects of quantifying and developing appropriate models to understand and communicate to others the nature of these complex relationships within the data.
