This Project Manager for the Simulator Program will be responsible to:
Support major initiatives to develop and evaluate simulation-based projects that recreate actual clinical experiences to sharpen clinical skills, enhance team performance, mitigate safety risks, and proactively improve clinical spaces and processes.
Manage projects of varying sizes and complexity or phase(s) of larger efforts from initiation/planning through the execution and delivery of the work including project transition and close out, ensuring a successful project.
Developing structured approaches to execute increasingly complex curriculum design and simulation scoping & planning, especially for systems engineering and process testing.
Identify and use project management tools and concepts (project scoping & planning, budget management, risk/issue tracking). Set clear priorities and objectives, creating high-quality work products/deliverables independently and completing projects on time and on budget.
Conduct and/or support complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data, summarize findings, draw appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicate results.
Manage relationships with internal/external project stakeholders, including excellent written & verbal communication skills for presenting to wide variety of clinical and senior-level audiences across the institution.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Science, Business or related field and 3-5 years relevant experience. Master's degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MPH) preferred; PMP certification a plus.
The ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects and/or proposals simultaneously within assigned department/division and to persuade and negotiate with peer-level department heads and/or with external agencies/facilities on issues and programs that impact assigned department as well as several other large departments/divisions.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with widely-used project management tools/applications.
Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement and/or process improvement activities. For research efforts, ability to lead and conduct basic secondary research (e.g., literature reviews) and advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis
