Position Summary

Under direction, the School Audiometrist conducts group and individual hearing screenings for school-aged children (3+ years) in public and parochial schools, as well as individual assessments in health department clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer hearing screenings (pure tone audiometry, otoacoustic emissions) at school sites and clinics.
• Conduct threshold testing and document results in EPIC (electronic health record system).
• Maintain accurate records, statistics, and reports for schools and agencies.
• Provide care coordination and case management, including outreach to families and providers.
• Collaborate with school staff to schedule screenings and assess testing environments.
• Transport, sterilize, and maintain audiometric equipment.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid School Audiometrist Certification issued by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

Desirable Qualifications

• Valid California Driver License.
• Experience in a clinical setting serving students and families.
