Job Description and Duties
THIS IS A STATEWIDE RECRUITMENT. THE INCUMBENT WILL BE HEADQUARTERED IN THE COUNTY NEAREST THE RESIDENCE OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATE. THE COUNTIES ARE: Butte, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Ventura Counties.
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by serving as the Nutrition Consultant Unit Chief and thereby assumes primary responsibility for Center public health planning and program activities in the area of nutrition care and dietary services in health facilities. The HPM II also assumes responsibility for the supervision and the management of activities of the Nutrition Consultant Specialists housed in various Center district offices. Travel is required 10-15% of the time.
