MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB This position serves as the Deputy Director within the Prevention and Health Promotion Administration (PHPA) Operations Unit.  The position supports the Administration’s Operations Director and is responsible for maintaining  the State of Maryland’s procurement integrity and ensuring the efficiency, accuracy and transparency of the Administration’s processes. The position is responsible for managing and overseeing PHPA’s portfolio of state and federal-funded grants, purchases, and contracts and can independently identify and resolve process gaps and issues. Additionally, this position provides technical support for programs and PHPA leadership on procurement processes, and facilities operations.  The position directly supervises one Administrator position.
