Position Title: Implementation and Engagement Coordinator
Project: Thriving Hearts: Healing-Centered, Integrated, Community Maternity Care
Level of Effort: 100% FTE during CER Y1–5.
Period of Performance: CER Years: April 1, 2025- March 31, 2029
Salary Range: $60,000- 70,000 based on qualifications and experience
Administration and Leadership
to Senior Project Manager, Kennedy Bridges, and co- Principal Investigators, Quintana Stewart and Alison Stuebe
Collaborate with Local Health Department (LHD) champions to implement intervention components at the county level
Oversee development roll out of the cross-core implementation strategies, in consultation with Dr. Jennifer Leeman
Support the Community Engagement team with Academic Co-Lead, UNC associate professor Dr. Alexandra Lightfoot and Community Co-Lead, Arlinda Ellison
Provide administrative and technical support for all project Community Engagement activities
Facilitate the creation and monitoring of LHD champion protocols
General Responsibilities
Implementation
Partner w/ LHD champions to implement and sustain intervention components in each county
Schedule and facilitate monthly champion learning collaboratives
Assist LHD champions and dynamic duos with implementation scale up, as cohorts enter implementation
Work with LHD champions to sustain interventions in post-implementation period
Community Advisory Board
Schedule, plan, and facilitate quarterly Community Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
Hold monthly check-ins with CAB program teams
Liaise with research team and community partners
Prepare professional development activities for CAB members
Foster relationships between duos & CAB members
Submit meeting attendance logs to Sr. Program Manager
Support onboarding, reimbursement, and payment for mileage documentation
Community Engagement Team
Provide administrative support to CE team
Facilitate scheduling and convening of county kick-off charettes
Schedule and facilitate regular CE team meetings
Conduct or oversee research and literature reviews to support activity planning
Reporting
In conjunction with Abacus, track Aim 4 implementation measures / process measures for project milestones and reporting to PCORI
Qualifications
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in public health, social work, public administration, or a related health or social science discipline
Previous experience working on projects related to maternal health, reproductive health, social determinants of health, health disparities, and/or health equity
Experience with managing projects with great attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Experience coordinating and supporting multisectoral collaborations. Ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, including researchers, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and vendors.
Experience with research and/or clinical care, ideally with some experience with community-based participatory research
Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and ethical guidelines for research with human participants
Ability to manage project timelines and resources effectively. Ability to estimate costs, track expenses, and manage budgets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, presentations, and team coordination.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team of researchers, assistants, and other staff.
