ABOUTTHEPOSITION This is complex clerical work performing clerical duties requiring the use of judgement in selecting which of several alternative courses of action to take based on a standard procedure and/or in following through with several procedures to complete a clerical process. Assigning and checking the work of a small group of employees or assisting the public in properly executing forms to obtain licenses, permits, and similar documents may be essential elements of the work in some assignments. Employees in the Keyboarding specialty perform typing tasks with principal emphasis on the difficulty of, and the responsibility for, data entry and related retrieval tasks.
Work is performed under the close supervision of a clerical or administrative superior.
Assignments are stable in nature and are performed in accordance with instructions and established routines. Employees in this class are responsible for the proper performance of assigned clerical tasks.
