The work involves responsibility for providing primary health care services in a public health or other health related setting. The incumbent must be certified to practice in the specific specialty area or areas related to the work performed and the work performed must be in accordance with written practice agreements and protocols. The incumbent diagnoses illness and recommends therapeutic and corrective measures which may include the prescription of drugs, devices and immunizing agents.
