Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) Instructions

Interested individuals must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) in addition to the standard state application (Form STD 678). Resumes do not take the place of the SOQ. Applicants who fail to submit the SOQ will not be considered. Your SOQ should not exceed two pages, single-spaced, 12-point font, and address the following:  

1. Upon reviewing the Duty Statement, please demonstrate how your work experience education and training make you an ideal candidate for this position. In your response, please include the desirable qualifications you possess and provide your experience in applying those skills.
2. Describe your experience using multiple technology platforms such as Structured Query Language, SAS, and Power Bl. Give examples of how you have used such platforms to process data, perform analytic procedures, and report actionable data to inform policy or program planning.
