Job Description and Duties The Health Program Specialist I (HPS I) serves as an expert point of contact to Branch field services staff for all issues pertaining to local assistance contracts; performs difficult analysis of policies and procedures associated with the local assistance Request For Applications (RFA) and Invitation for Bid (IFB) process; develops program evaluative tools such as quality assurance revies, assessments and surveys which facilitate the formulation of strategies and recommendations for policy improvements and necessary revisions; works closely with local health department immunization coordinators to ensure that local assistance funds use complies with State and federal mandates.
