The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) works with our local and tribal public health partners, and community groups statewide, on a wide variety of programs and services that protect the health of Wisconsin residents.
DPH is recruiting for an Adolescent Health Fidelity Monitor in the Bureau of Community Health Promotion (BCHP).
The position will work daytime hours Monday – Friday, up to 20 hours per week. Hours will be flexible to the extent that operational needs are met. The position will be headquartered at one of the DPH central or regional offices with the possibility for a hybrid remote work schedule as allowed by the needs of the business unit. Statewide travel will be required up to 30% of the time.

Position Summary
As the Adolescent Health Fidelity Monitor, you will be responsible for conducting fidelity observations for facilitators working with grants administered by the Child and Adolescent Health Team, including the Personal Responsibility Education Program and Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program. The primary objective is to ensure that these curricula are replicated with fidelity and high-quality facilitation. Responsibilities include:
Ensuring that all shared information is medically accurate, complete, age-appropriate, and acknowledges the diverse experiences of youth.
Reporting monitoring observations to the DHS Program Coordinator(s).
Providing technical assistance and coaching to local facilitators and programs implementing evidence-based and evidence-informed positive youth development and sexual and reproductive health curricula.
Understanding and communicating grant requirements and required covered topics per federal grant guidelines.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $25.00 and $32.00 per hour depending on qualifications. This is an LTE appointment and is limited to 1039 hours in a year.
The position is classified as a Grants Specialist and is in pay schedule and range 07/04.

Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Experience with program monitoring and evaluation.
Professional or lived experience related to adolescent health or youth empowerment and engagement initiatives.
Experience with grant coordination or management.
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
Experience with public health programs, principles, policy, systems or environmental change practices.
Experience with adolescent health programs and the Positive Youth Development framework and Life Course Model.
Experience with federal grant coordination or management, including preparing and monitoring contracts and budgets.
Experience with health equity and social justice initiatives.
