About the Role
In this key position, you'll support DOH employees in their mission to protect and improve the health of Washington State residents.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of contract payables
Providing training, support, and guidance to fiscal staff
Acting as the principal assistant to the Accounting Manager
Supervising and managing contract payables actions and staff

The duty station for this full-time permanent Financial Analyst 5 (FA5) is Homebase. Telework is currently expected. Required in-office work is rare and would be scheduled in advance.
Option 1: Five (5) or more years of relevant accounting or finance experience, that includes:
Applying state or federal financial rules, regulations, and policies such as Washington State SAAM guidelines, RCW, WAC, and other state policies and procedures.
Analyzing and interpreting financial reports to adjust entries, correct discrepancies and prepare documents; research transaction records and other fiscal records to ensure accuracy.
Option 2: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or closely allied field AND Two (2) years of relevant accounting or finance experience, that includes:
Applying state or federal financial rules, regulations, and policies such as Washington State SAAM guidelines, RCW, WAC, and other state policies and procedures.
Analyzing and interpreting financial reports to adjust entries, correct discrepancies and prepare documents; research transaction records and other fiscal records to ensure accuracy.
AND for Both options – Two (2) or more years of experience providing training, support, feedback, and guidance to staff in financial or accounting functions.
