This position will serve as the clinical leader of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. In this role the psychiatrist will perform clinical psychiatric evaluations on assigned patients, prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, writing orders for these as well as ancillary services, therapeutic modalities, precautionary watches and alerts and emergency interventions. When clinically appropriate, the psychiatrist will pursue permission to treat non-consenting patients with non-emergent psychotropic medication, in accordance with the Division of Behavioral Health Services’ procedures.
