This role supports the Department of Health's mission to enhance public health in Washington State and ensures environmental public health programs are science-based, in line with the Office of Environmental Public Health Sciences (OEPHS). Reporting to the Environmental Lead Exposure Prevention Supervisor, this Environmental Specialist 1 (ES1) is part of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP). Work involves collecting and analyzing drinking water samples to reduce lead exposure in schools.
