Primary Purpose of Position:  The primary purpose of this grant funded contract position is to provide ambulatory health care to clients who need Maternal Health, Family Planning, STD, HIV, Immunizations, or Child Health Services.  As indicated, the Physician Extender (PE) obtains complete health and psychosocial histories and records findings; performs complete physical examinations; orders, performs and interprets routine laboratory tests; prescribe, order, and administer medications and medical devices according to statutory and agency guidelines; develops health maintenance plans, including health education, disease prevention and anticipatory guidance to clients/families; works interdependently with other members of the health care team (both in and out of the heal
