Purpose of Position: The Dental Assistant will aid in gathering patient information and health background, providing patient care and support, taking X-rays of patient's teeth and processing results, preparing the work area for procedures, assisting dentist by handing them instruments and equipment, taking notes when needed, comfortable working with children and special needs children, educating patients on good oral hygiene habits, performing coronal polishing, sealant application, fluoride application, and topical anesthetic application as needed, directing patients and maintaining schedule, stocking treatment areas and monitoring inventory. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Considerable knowledge of dental equipment, instruments, and procedures.
