Cal-PPH (Pathways) Programs Manager (Unit Chief) HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER I
Job Description and Duties This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by managing the execution of the California Pathways into Public Health (Cal-PPH) Initiative, which provides training and hands-on work experience in local health jurisdiction (LHJ) host sites to individuals from historically underrepresented and diverse communities who are interested in public health careers. Cal-PPH facilitates the implementation of the Future of Public Health vision by capacitating LHJs to be able to effectively respond to infectious disease outbreaks and other urgent public health emergencies, while supporting California’s public health workforce and health equity goals.
