Under the direction and close supervision of a supervisory official in the Department of Health, as a trainee and productive worker, learns to conduct various routine technical microbiologic, molecular, and serologic tests/analyses in the New Jersey Department of Health Public Health and Environmental laboratory. Work will include the handling and processing of laboratory specimens, specimen accessioning, specimen preparation, reagent preparation, record keeping, supply ordering, learns to prepare reports, learns to assist in performing developmental procedures, instrumentation calibration and maintenance, and other related duties as required.
