Community Health Nutritionist 1
Under the direction of the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program Manager, the Community Health Nutritionist 1 provides nutritional assessment and counseling and determines program eligibility for the Milwaukee Health Department’s (MHD) WIC participants. Essential functions for this position are as follows: WIC CERTIFICATION AND CLIENT SERVICES Complete the WIC certification process, including performing nutritional assessment and counseling; breastfeeding counseling and promotion; intake and registration; anthropometric measurement (measuring and recording height and weight); and hemoglobin testing. Issue WIC benefits; determine WIC eligibility by identifying risk factors. Monitor participant follow up and modify plan of care.
