Summary: Team member responsible for leading sizable written portfolio and providing editorial support across teams. The Editorial Manager will also work with project leads to plan and implement interviews, web content, video scripts, flyers, podcasts, and other communications products.
Anticipated salary: $74,000 Extended experience: up to $84,000 if experience exceeds expectations
Author compelling articles, blogs, executive communications, and internal products for a wide range of audiences
Provide editorial support for briefs, reports, blogs, legislative alerts, success stories, and more
Support ASTHO???s executive leadership team on communications opportunities, offering strategic messaging support as needed
Serve as a final editor on products prior to distribution and/or printing
Lead planning of ASTHO???s communications workgroup and represent the Content Development team on other internal ASTHO workgroups
Work with team leaders to improve writing across the organization and ensure engaging, accurate, error-free products
Manage ASTHO???s style guide, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
Educate colleagues on editorial best practices
Identify opportunities for increased collaboration across teams. Build relationships that foster short- and long-term improvements in ASTHO???s publications process
Maintain ASTHO???s weekly internal employee newsletter and contribute to external newsletters as needed
Provide project management support to the department, which includes, but isn???t limited to, managing workflows, triaging inquiries from teams, and communicating frequently with project leads throughout the content development process
Bachelor???s degree in communications, English, journalism, public health, or related field
Minimum of Four (4) years of experience in editing and communications
Must have a portfolio of published content available for sharing during the interview process
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superb writing and copyediting abilities, familiarity with APA style a plus
Solid time and project management skills
Experience in Monday.com or similar project management platforms preferred
