This position is in the HIV/STD Surveillance Unit of the Communicable Disease Branch, a subordinate agency of the Epidemiology Section of the Division of Public Health. This position supervises a group of 5 regional epidemiologists to strengthen data sharing and data equity for NC DPH and local health departments. Key tasks include:  Coordinate data access and sharing between local and state health departments to ensure that communicable disease responses are effective and rapid. Provide access to data and analyses to encourage use of communicable disease data and systems by local health departments. Work to improve health equity by supporting and working with community groups using state and local data.
