Associate Health Program Advisor
Under the direction of the Health Program Manager II (HPM II), Behavioral Health Promotion Section (BHPS) Chief, the Associate Health Program Advisor (AHPA) functions as a full journey-level team member supporting in training, technical assistance, health education, and policy for the BHPS. The AHPA will primarily support the BHPS’s work to raise awareness of alcohol addiction and to prevent alcohol misuse through public education aimed at underserved populations; policy, systems, and environmental change strategies; training; and technical assistance. The AHPA will also support work on other substance and addiction related topics, including problem gambling. The AHPA tracks current research, policy, and legislative changes; uses data (including surveillance, survey, and treatment data)
