Job Purpose This position will primarily provide chair side assistance for Dentist in the Children’s Dental Health Clinic and Portable/Mobile Clinic.  Dental assisting duties include: prepare instrument tray, maintain dental supplies, routine maintenance of certain medical equipment, clean and sterilize equipment, provide support to patients, pass instruments to Dentist during dental procedures, mix filling materials, operate oral evacuation equipment, monitor patient vital signs, clear and clean operatory instruments, take routine x-rays and photographs, instruct patient and family of basic oral hygiene, record dictated items in Electronic Health Record, apply topical fluoride and sealant, greet clients, review patient’s health history, and maintain current OSHA and HIPAA guidel
