The primary purpose of this federally funded position is to provide additional clinical support within the Epi Section and Immunization Branch to resolve complex clinical issues that require advanced nursing judgment and interpretation beyond recommendations and laws. This position functions as the daily "on-call" clinical nurse consultant for clinical staff working in private and public health care facilities, local health departments, hospitals and other state agencies as well as school and childcare staff and the general public on sensitive clinical issues involving immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccines.
