This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by performing complex administrative functions and work needed to ensure compliance with federal grant requirements to ensure ongoing funding and continuity of critical services to prevent and treat HIV. The HPS I is a highly skilled professional with independent responsibility for carrying out a variety of high-level grant management, fiscal, and policy-related assignments in the Office of AIDS (OA) Division. The HPS I supports the development and maintenance of the CDPH OA budget.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, Chief of the Business Operations and Compliance Section.
