The Procurement & Supply Specialist 3 (PSS3) position supports that mission in an administrative capacity, by procuring essential goods and services, required by agency programs to provide essential public health functions and services. This is a full-time permanent position within the Office of Financial Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Purchasing goods and services for the Department of Health
Provide guidance and consultation on Procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
Unit Purchasing Cardholder – One of several in the Procurement Unit
Maintain Capital and small & attractive asset inventory tag log for the Procurement unit.
Promote diverse and small business spend across the agency
The duty station for this position is in Tumwater, WA. Telework (mobile work) is currently expected, except for the following situations:
The training period requires the incumbent to be present at the duty station until complete.
When the return to office is approved, the incumbent is expected to report to the duty station for work activities. Partial telecommuting may be an option subject to supervisory approval.
It is anticipated that the incumbent would be at the duty station for work activities 3-5 days monthly after training is completed.
Option 1: Three (3) years of experience as a Procurement and Supply Specialist 2.
Option 2: Associate of Arts degree in business administration, procurement, or supply management or related professional certification; AND three (3) or more years of full-time experience as a purchasing or supply professional.
Option 3: A Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, logistics, supply management, or allied field; AND one (1) or more years of experience in large-scale procurement, stock control, receipt, storage, and issue functions in either government or business.
AND
Demonstrated computer skills and experience in the following:
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word: create, format, edit, preview, print, and save documents; use standard functions to select, edit, copy, paste, format, and spell check text; create bulleted and numbered lists, indent and align paragraphs, and use bordering and shading features.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel: create, modify, print, and format spreadsheets, find and replace data, and work with basic formulas and functions; use templates, styles, AutoFormats, and multiple worksheets.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Outlook: compose, send, and respond to e-mails and coordinate schedules and schedule meetings
