This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by planning, organizing, and directing a staff of Health Program Specialist I’s (HPS I) who assist scientific personnel in adopting regulations applicable to the radiation-user community. The incumbent is the Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) focal point for regulatory development, verifying RHB documents are consistent with regulations, and the regulatory advisor to the Radiologic Technology Certification Committee (RTCC) meetings. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Supervising Health Physicist of the Registration, Regulations and Quality Assurance Section.
