The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to OCME pathologists, the Statewide Medical Examiner System and law enforcement personnel. The employee provides technical assistance to forensic pathologists in the performance of postmortem examinations. The employee performs eviscerations, gross anatomic dissections, and collects evidence and information to supplement autopsy reports regarding the cause and manner of death. This position may also provide support when needed to the Investigations division within OCME.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's Degree in the biological/anatomical, forensic, mortuary/funeral, or criminal justice sciences from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in the field of pathology, forensic pathology or decedent care; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
