Job Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, review and/or develop operating procedures, practices and guidelines and communicates them with program staff.
Assist with developing and conducting training (in person and online) for State EP staff, duty officer and DPH internal and external partners to ensure operational readiness locally, statewide, and regional.
Work closely with the Logistics Specialist to identify resource needs and establish resource typing
Assemble and participate in local, regional and/or national workgroups and/or response teams.
Develop and maintain operational relationships with internal and external partners
Work closely with the planning and exercise team to coordinate and participate in Statewide exercise efforts.
Assist with developing performance measurement and improvement planning for operational aspects of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program.
Providing Technical Support for the local Public Health Districts.
Acting as Operations Coordination Lead in Department’s Emergency Operations Center and as a Public Health Liaison at Georgia Emergency Management Agency’s State Operations Center during an activation.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of experience related to area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in public health program management, in areas such as emergency preparedness, emergency management or environmental health.
Experience teaching, training, or emergency communications.
Experience with all hazard planning and procedural writing, specifically related to operationalizing an emergency operations center on a federal, state, regional or local level.
Experience in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint computer application software.
