This position is responsible for coordinating regional planning with the Local Health Departments for counties in PHP&R’s central region. Those counties include Beaufort, Bertie, Bladen, Brunswick, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Gates, Greene, Hertford, Hoke, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Pender, Perquimans, Pitt, Robeson, Sampson, Tyrrell, Washington, and Wayne. The position will develop all-hazards regional preparedness plans based on federal requirements, including evaluation, assist with the development of county preparedness plans for counties within the Eastern region, coordinate and conduct collaborative meetings with regional partners, coordinate training activities, provide education and technical assistance on best practices in preparedness, support documentation needs, and write reports. This position requires regular travel to counties in the eastern region, occasional statewide travel and training/conferences out of state. This position is subject to after-hours recall.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
