The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), in collaboration with its partners, protects the health and safety of all North Carolinians and provides essential human services.   DHHS is establishing a new Division of Child and Family Well-Being that focuses on supporting whole child and family health and well-being for North Carolinians. This division works to ensure that North Carolina’s children grow up safe, healthy and thriving in nurturing and resilient families and communities. It will bring together complementary programs from the Divisions of Public Health, Mental Health, and Social Services to maximize services and outcomes for children and their families, including nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC and Child and Adult Care Food Program), health and prevention
