PH Disease Intervention Specialist | Publ Hlth Disease Intervention Spec I
This position is with the Communicable Disease Branch and based in our Winterville Regional Field Services Office in Pitt County. The incumbent in this position will have multi-county responsibilities which include: Performing work efforts to control the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV infection. Conducting personal interviews to obtain case related information. Explaining the disease process, treatment, prevention and legal requirements, analyzes epidemiological information to determine need and priority for follow-up activities. Providing education, consultation, and technical assistance to local health departments and private providers on interview techniques, records, treatment procedures, and quality control.
