The Deputy Director for Environmental Health leads the Center for Environmental Health (CEH), including environmental management; food, drug, and medical device safety; and radiation safety programs and issues. The Deputy Director serves as the liaison with other state entities, including the California Health and Human Services Agency, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Food and Agriculture and the Natural Resources Agency, as well as with the Governor's Office, the Legislature and with California business and health care communities. The Deputy Director coordinates with federal and local government entities addressing environmental health.
