This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by providing expertise in the latest, state-of-the-art methods and frameworks relevant to evaluation of public health programs. Under the general direction of the Research Scientist Supervisor I, Chief, Decision Intelligence Unit, the Research Scientist III (RS III) Social/Behavior (Soc/Beh) will provide scientific evaluation and research method consultation to internal and external stakeholders for complex projects. In collaboration with departmental scientists and management, the RS III will design scientific analyses to identify for high value primary prevention and provide economic impact to policy makers, healthcare partners and public health entities.
