Surveillance & Data Management Unit Chief | RESEARCH SCIENTIST SUPERVISOR I (EPI/BIOSTATS)
The Research Scientist Supervisor (RSS) I (Epidemiology/Biostatistics) plans, designs, organizes, analyzes, and interprets STD/HCV surveillance data. The RSS I will conduct technical research and statistical analyses related to STD/HCV case reporting, management, and intervention efforts; develop editing and coding procedures for data processing; write complex computer programs using a variety of software packages to assure data quality; disseminate scientific results, findings, and program and policy recommendations to Sexually Transmitted Diseases Control Branch (STDCB) management, staff, contractors, external stakeholders, federal funders, and community planning groups, at professional meetings and conferences; and publishes research findings in scientific journals and state reports.
