We are hiring for two Engineer Graduate 2 vacancies. The individuals in these positions will review plans and specifications pertaining to replacement of lead service lines and, if necessary, makes appropriate recommendations. They will assist in the implementation of the Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (DWRF). They will develop and update standards and procedures for the review of plans and specifications for public water supplies. They may conduct inspections of public water supply systems. They will also provide technical assistance to water systems in a broad range of water system activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental/Sanitary, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineering field
Two years professional level engineering experience
Knowledge of water system engineering including operation and design.
Knowledge of how to conduct bacteriological investigations of water systems.
Will be assessed during interview:
Knowledge of Safe Drinking Water rules and requirements and how to apply these rules to public water systems.
Knowledge concerning water system construction standards and how to apply them in a real-world application.
Writing skills sufficient to communicate technical engineering information.
Oral communication skills sufficient to interpret engineering data and information.
Knowledge of federal and state infrastructure funding.
Skill in computer use sufficient to operate computer/software and produce reports.
Knowledge of common engineering practices, methods and procedures.
Knowledge of equipment and materials used in modern engineering operations.
Experience in technical engineering work
