This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by overseeing programs responsible for data collection, analysis, monitoring, evaluation and research that assess implementation and outcomes of federal and state HIV treatment and care services accessed by HIV-infected Californians.
The incumbent works under the broad administrative direction of the Division Chief in the Office of AIDS (OA). The Research Scientist Manager (RSM) will serve as the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Care Evaluation and Informatics (ACEI) Branch Chief. As Chief of the ACEI Branch, the RSM (Epi/Bio) is responsible for direct supervision of the section chiefs and overall activities of the Care Evaluation and Monitoring Section and ADAP Fiscal Forecasting, Evaluation and Monitoring Section. The RSM will provide management and oversight of multiple complex data systems and databases utilized to draw conclusions from epidemiologic and biostatistical investigations.
