Make your mark in public service. As an accredited public health department, we're seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of STD Epidemiologist 1 located in Atlanta, GA to join the Division of Health Protection, Infectious Disease Section,Office of STD. Won't you join us?
Frequently utilize SAS software to analyze data, create data reports, and fulfill data requests
Create reports to inform internal STD team of data trends to guide interventions and monitor effectiveness of STD prevention activities
Participate in STD surveillance activities
Ensure STD cases meeting case definition are complete and reported in a timely manner
Assist with the development, preparation, and dissemination of weekly and monthly STD data reports to state and district staff
Provide technical assistance to local STD program staff regarding data issues
Analyze data gathered during epidemiologic investigations using SAS software
Prepare and distribute reports for external partners
Master's degree in Public Health or closely related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience performing epidemiologic work or work in a closely related field.
