Responsible for countywide coordination of surveillance; studies the occurrence of disease and other health-related conditions or events in defined populations in order to implement prevention and control measures for the Missoula City-County Health Department.
Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or a closely related degree. Requires one year of job-related experience in epidemiology. Experience in Communicable Disease Epidemiology desired. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires immunizations or proof of immunity to certain infectious diseases, and a TB test.
The purpose of the Public Health Workforce Program is to advise and assist Montana’s local and tribal health departments with recruiting and integrating staff for vacant and new positions, especially as related to COVID-19 response, recovery and resiliency.
