This position functions as a working supervisor in the Pediatric Immunization Clinic and School Health Program. This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of both programs. The primary duties of this position over the Pediatric Immunization Clinic include responsible for efficient and effective daily vaccine administration, education, and counselling in accordance with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices). This includes vaccines administration and accountability for all VFC (Vaccines for Children) vaccines.
This position requires licensure as Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 210.8.22 or 8.27.
American Heart Association cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification (CPR)
A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Emergency Duty: Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the Incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
