The Executive Office of Innovation and Technology (OIT) will ignite curiosity in employees and fuel a passion for discovery, experimentation, and critical thinking. OIT leads the following areas of focus: Innovation, Data and Informatics, and Technology.
Reporting to the Confidential Secretary, this Administrative Assistant 2 position is a high visibility, volume role providing general administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, and providing logistical assistance with executive meetings. As the Administrative Assistant, you will also be responsible for confidential and time sensitive material where professionalism, efficiency, and communication skills are of paramount importance.
The duty station for this position is in Tumwater, WA. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telework (mobile-work) is currently expected. When approved to return, the incumbent is expected to report to the duty station for work activities. Partial telecommuting may be an option subject to supervisory approval. It is anticipated that the incumbent would be expected to report to the Tumwater duty station for work activities xx-days monthly/weekly.

Three (3) or more years (full-time equivalency) of progressively responsible experience providing broad spectrum office administrative and/or secretarial support WHICH INCLUDES:
One (1) or more years (full-time equivalency) of experience compiling, formatting, editing, and proofreading complex documents intended for external and internal distribution.
One (1) or more years (full-time equivalency) of experience effectively suing independent judgment to resolve complex issues and problems and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in the following:
Effectively communicating orally and in-writing with diverse audiences.
Intermediate-level experience using MS Word to create, format, and edit tables, columns, and charts; import data and sort table data; insert and format sections, and create headers and footers.
Intermediate-level experience using MS Excel to create and manipulate large or complex spreadsheets, use complex mathematical formulas to calculate data, and link worksheets; import data from other sources, filter lists, and create and format charts and graphs.
Intermediate-level experience using MS Visio to create or manipulate org charts, graphs, flow charts and diagrams.
Using MS Outlook to compose, send and respond to email and to coordinate schedules and schedule meetings.
Using MS SharePoint to track information and create views.
