Under the general direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Sr. ES) (Supervisor) of the Environmental Health Services Section, Institutions, Recreational Health Unit. The Sr. ES (Specialist) in the Recreational Health Program works to improve public health for those participating in recreational activities. The Sr. ES (Spec) will provide technical assistance regarding recreational health and safety issues which includes providing guidance to local health jurisdictions that conduct inspections of public swimming pools, spas, interactive water features, beaches and water parks as well as to the swimming pool and spa industry and the general public in response to inquiries.
