Retail Food Safety Trainer | ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by promoting health and wellness and improving state health outcomes by advancing protective measures and reducing risk. In collaboration with the Food Investigations and Technical Support Section (FITSS) retail program Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialists), the Environmental Scientist (ES) will coordinate between the Food and Drug Branch (FDB) and the Local Environmental Health Agencies (LEA) to enhance retail food safety and prevent foodborne illness outbreaks at the retail level.
