Summary: The Coordinator for Public Health Data Modernization & Informatics provides project, administrative and logistical support for the Population Health and Innovation team???s public health data modernization portfolio of projects related to public health data analytics, informatics, health information exchange, and health information technology.
Location: Remote
Principal Functions:
- Provides skilled project management support for CDC, ONC and other HHS agency-funded projects.
- Supports collection, triage, and tracking of technical assistance requests in support of ASTHO members and key stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains project management dashboards and manages deadlines.
- Assists with budget tracking, invoice and contract processing, and expense reports.
- Provides logistical and planning support for meetings, webinars, and other events.
- Supports maintenance of virtual collaboration platforms for ASTHO learning communities and peer networks.
- In coordination with team leadership, provides logistical and administrative support to ASTHO???s Population Health & Informatics Policy Committee.
- Collects, enters, and updates data for ASTHO strategic and operations plans.
- Maintains and updates team webpages.
- Schedules external conference calls and meetings and circulates key take-away minutes afterwards.
- Conducts editorial review of ASTHO products as needed.
- Performs mission- and project-critical activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor???s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in program, project and operations support.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and troubleshoot problems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with MS Office applications or demonstrated ability to learn new software.
- Ability to manage diverse priorities with positive outcomes.
- Willingness to work on projects across the department.
- Ability to work well within a team environment as well as independently.
