Summary: Responsible for the pre-award and post award functions and activities associated with the Non-CDC Bundle and CDC Bundle grants awarded to ASTHO.
Location: Remote
Principal Functions:
-
Produces and reconciles financial reports, such as month-end closing reports, spending projections, and revenue calculations for grants and others as needed.

Develops and continually monitors budgets, monthly fiscal performance and resource allocation, prepares justifications for major variances.

Prepares and submits invoices to funders based on the requirements of the contracts and subawards in the ASTHO portfolio
-
Communicates relevant information to the appropriate financial and programmatic staff.

One of the point of contacts during the CDC Bundle submission process, responding to questions about the process and the tools.

Maintain trackers/schedules that will detail the status of the Non - CDC Bundle efforts and provide an update to the Senior Director.

Creates journal entries to ensure compliance with funder requirements and that funds are appropriately utilized

Reviews the documents for the CDC Bundle submission ensuring completeness/accuracy for submission in the CDC Join, GrantSolutions, and/or Grants.gov systems.

Prepare final close-out documents, except the final financial report for the CDC Bundle and Non-CDC Bundle Federal Awards.

Reviews documents for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to funder requirements.

Updates and maintains the monthly financial reports that are provided to the internal stakeholders via Program Operations.

Organizes and creates files for approvals received from funders.

Maintains electronic files and helps to ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Prepares and provides quarterly and annual (or as needed) financial reports to the funder.
Qualifications:
-
3 years of prior experience administering grants
-
Experience with a database or tracking using Excel; experience with SharePoint is a plus
-
Strong computer skills to include proficiency in MS Office
-
Experience with accounting software (SL Dynamics a plus) and other database applications
-
Solid, positive interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Strong analytical skills

Knowledge of principles and practices of federal grants administration, including familiarity with OMB Uniform Grant Guidance and experience using Grants.gov preferred

Knowledge of HHS cooperative agreement regulations and guidelines preferred
