The State Hygienic Laboratory, at the University of Iowa is seeking a Laboratory Technician II for the Ankeny, Iowa facility. The State Hygienic Laboratory (SHL) is under contract with the Iowa Department of Public Health as Iowa's Environmental and Public Health Laboratory. The primary function of the position is to perform accessioning of samples, verify samples and specimens match the paperwork. The Lab Tech II also assigns accessioning numbers via computer bar-coded labels and performs data entry of the samples into the database.
