The Mountain Area Health Education Center, Inc. Human Subjects Protections Administrator is responsible for developing policies and procedures pertaining to human subject protections and Institutional Review Board (IRB) operations.  This role serves as the primary contact for communities, federal agencies, research participants, investigators, IRBs, etc., who have questions about human subject protections, or wish to utilize the Community Institutional Review Board services. Additionally, the role will work with the IRB Chair to engage WNC hospitals, health departments, human services organizations, and practice groups to educate them about the IRB and assist them in getting research projects formally reviewed prior to implementation. PRIMARY RESPONSIB
