Health Promotion Specialist - Habif Health and Wellness Center

The professional in this position will reflect the vision of the Habif Health and Wellness Center and support the academic mission of Washington University by providing the community with comprehensive mental health promotion training, education, programming and resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement evidence based, audience specific educational programs; develop and manage a comprehensive program calendar.
Play a lead role in researching best practices for prevention education.
Create, support and maintain a peer education group.
Create promotional materials, including web resources, and a student group for prevention efforts on campus.
Develop and manage a budget for prevention efforts.
Cultivate working relationships with campus partners offering co-programming at least once per year.
May recruit, train and supervise at least 2-4 graduate practicum students.
Master's degree in psychology, social work, public health, education, or related field.
CHES or CPH.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for stress, anxiety, and depression.
Strong desire to work in college health field.
Ability to work effectively as a team leader and member.
Excellent public speaking skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Excellent computing skills, including graphic design.
Ability to maintain personal well-being and sense of humor in fast-paced work environment.
Bachelorâ™s degree in psychology, social work, public health, women and gender studies or related field, or equivalent experience, plus three or more years of violence prevention education experience.
Experience with adolescents or college aged students.
Interest and knowledge of issues related to sexual and relationship violence.
Solid presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use discretion, good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated self-initiative and ability to do multifaceted work.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Extensive knowledge of web based and windows based software.
$45,800.00 - $75,900.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
