About Washington University Medical School in St. Louis
The Siteman Biostatistics Shared Resource provides support, consultation, and collaboration on biostatistics and epidemiology. The facility supports cancer research through experimental designs, study monitoring, and data analyses. We utilize efficient methods that reflect the best practices in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and epidemiology. The Division of Public Health Sciences is rich with opportunity for innovative research and conducts transdisciplinary research addressing cancer risk across the life course and across generations, from conception to workplace and survivorship. A growing focus on methods for implementation science brings investigators together across campus, and regional health care providers. The Siteman Cancer Center Prevention and Control program has primary focus on cancer health disparities, methods for implementation science, and tobacco control and other lifestyle interventions. The program includes some fifty investigators who are studying the relations among biological, genetic, psychological, and epidemiological factors. Studies range from genetic investigations to clinical outcomes and community-based participatory research.
