The University of Saint Joseph is seeking a 9-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor to join the Department of Nutrition and Public Health as a member of the core faculty. The successful candidate will teach in our ACEND accredited didactic and dietetic internship programs, our graduate programs in nutrition and in our public health programs. The position is anticipated to begin August 2022. Candidates with appropriate academic and professional credentials, clinical experience, a strong work ethic, and who typically engage others in a caring manner are invited to apply.
Responsibilities include teaching, advising students, and participating in service and research for the department.
The position is in the Nutrition and Public Health Department, which houses the didactic nutrition program, nutrition and wellness program, dietetic internship, undergraduate health science, exercise science and public health and the graduate MPH, nutrition, health coaching and sports nutrition programs. This faculty will teach on-campus and online classes, with the goal of preparing highly qualified practitioners. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in nutrition, or in a related field, the registered dietitian credential, experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and recent experience working in the nutrition and public health field. Candidates should have experience and skills necessary to work with an increasingly diverse student and employee population. Additionally, candidates should have a commitment to the mission of the University of Saint Joseph and the physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $63,000-$77,000 ($63,000-$67,000 for Assistant Professor; $66,000-$77,000 Associate Professor). The final offer will be based on the successful candidate's qualification and experience.
